Got some new tires for the puller. (Carnage ensues.)
Well Matt was feeling very generous and bought a new set of STS's for the puller.

Headed down to Missouri Valley to try them out. I pulled in the 7700# class and went 324'. It was pretty sweet, the first time I have pulled with some real tires. It sure dug a hole.
Matt pulled in the 8700#. The cam decided to snap off and he only made it about 6"
It sure sounds weird when the valves stop working, but the bottom end and pump are still going.
What we found:

What we are gonna do about it:

Probably have to run this stock motor for the rest of the season. Hopefully we can get the goodies swapped over tomorrow and have it running again.

Figured I had better update this....
We got the motor swapped and made 2 different hooks last Sunday. Learned that without the ported head and cam, we can't stay on top of the turbo very well. The one track was dry and rough, and it spooled ok, but the pull was pretty weak- 260'. The second track was really nice, but the new STS's bit too hard, and it choked out at about 200'. It probably didn't help that is was 108* that day either.
We have a smaller hot side we are going to try for now, but we are going to try and get the good motor back together ASAP.
