Got my motor FINALY

So I finaly got my motor. Did a good degreasing and wire brush cleaning. Got some high temp paint and did a test fit in the car.

Needs new motor mounts and I have to drill one hole in the cross member to line up perfect. It's only off about 3/4 of an inch.

I am in need of a output shaft and case for a 2wd 727 tranny and I'm all set. I can then redo my firewall and tunnel.

If anyone is interested in a '76 slant 6 and auto tranny I gots one. Lol. Low miles.

If I had cash and a Duster I'd be interested. I wonder if Clifford's is still around, I know they used to be able to make the leaning tower of power do amazing things.

I would assume that you're already familiar with the fact that the older Mopar 727 mainshaft and extension housing from a slip yoke car or pick-up tranny will work.

As far as the slanty and tranny, scrap motors/trans are @ $200/ton around here.

Mark.

I hear ya on the scrap. But it would be a shame to do that to a low mile running slanter and tranny. I might just keep it around for another project.

Thanks for the heads up on the other parts that will fit. I will see what I can dig up.

As for the paint. No one really said to much about it. I'm kinda still playing around with it.
