Good Price

In my Travels over the weekend I came across a 91 regular cab 4x4 5spd SRW CTD. Mileage is 170,000. Its a texas truck so its a clean body top and bottom. Paint is nice. There is one crack in the grill about an inch long. The interior has been cleaned but is rough, lots of drill holes and some cracks from where stuff was mounted. The seat also looks messed up. Its not intercooled. Needs Tires. Looks well maintained though. price on the window was 8000. seems high to me. Its in the Midwest so in know clean trucks demand a premium in the rust belt. Does this price sound right for this truck?

Sounds high by about $3000.

Ya i've been looking around here in Indiana and it is very high. You should be able to pick up a nice cherry truck for that much. I say at most its worth 5k no more.

Well i guess I'm thinking what everyone else is. for 5k I would jump on it 6500 or less i would take a hard look that what i was thinking. Maybe i'll give him another call see if he wants to talk. I'm willing to drive the distance for the right truck so the fact that its within a few hours means little too me since I like to travel and its like a vacation for me anyhow.

Diesel pickups bring more than top dollar in texas, in fact guys are selling the used ones here for top dollar to people in texas. But, for the record, $6500 would be the normal asking price where I'm at.

I just picked up my 89 w350 LE with 140k for 5k in central California...it's in excelent shape, the paint looks brand new and it runs and drives perfectly, it also came with a matching cab top.....my point is that I think you can find better if you look for awhile....though Diesels in general seem to be in high demand.
