Gettin ready to part out my 92
Gettin ready to part out my 92
It has been sittin at my uncles house for a year after I bought it and they are gettin tired of it sittin out there. Gettin it towed to my neighbors farm a few miles from my house. It doesn't have a rear end in it. Whats the best way to set up the rear? Planning on just puting it on rims till I find something better. It has the overload springs which I would like to put on my 93. How hard is it to take the bed off? Is the frame or cab worth very much? Should be moving it tomorow. Since I only paid 2k for both of em it's time to get some profit from my investment besides the Cummins power that I love.
Most of it's gonna be for more mods anyway.

And, if you can't scare-up some buddy's...
Take a 4x4 and cut it just long enough so it fits under the rails on either side of the bed...
Put a chain in the dead center of the 4x4(side to side)...and make sure you center the 4x4 front to rear in the bed.
Then you can use an A frame (or MAJOR tree banch) to CAREFULLY pick it up...do it SLOWLY at first to make sure you have it balanced correctly, and if not, adjust accordingly...
I have a big 'ole steel A frame...and I've used this method several times along with a come-along(Maasdam Power-Puller)...works like a charm.

Or if you don't care too much for the bed, you can 'work' it off by yourself. But if its prestine then working it over and flipping it could scratch it up a bit. BTW I'm in need of dually fender parts. Marker light black plastic bases/gaskets, and tire side of fender wiring protectors.
