From what I have read, there are some wondering as to cost of rebuilding a Getrag.

I picked mine up today.

Complete bearing kit, including synchronizers, etc. $270

Fork $70

Speedometer gear $19

UPS on parts $22

6% sales tax $22

Labor $175

Total $578

I hope it is as good or better than new.

Will it last another 400,000 ??

 

WOW! What was the hourly labor rate? Did that include dis-assembly, cleaning etc? Sounds like you got a great deal! Hope it does last you another 400k.

It was not in a truck.

Yes on everything else; and, these guys have the name in this neck-of-the-woods of being the final word on transmissions so they should know what they are doing.
