Getrag main shaft/output shaft differences 2wd &4wd

Hi all, My uncle had a transmission shop near me and has a customers 91 I think W250 with the getrag and the bearing went between the input and main shaft and it was run so long that where the bearing goes is now oval on both. I have a 92 D250 that has a badly rotted body that I gave up trying to repair but the transmission was a reman I put in and only drove for about 10,000 miles. I found a parts list online for them and it shows that the number for the main shaft/output shaft is G360-2 on the 2wd and G360-2A on the 4wd. Anyone know what the difference is between the shafts. I'd like to sell him the trans. to help him out but neither of us is sure if mine will work to bolt the transfer case onto or if the shaft has to be changed to work. Thanks in advance. Stewart

I'm not an expert on Getrags, but do know a bit about NV4500's...so the info should be the same, or very similar.

The input shafts would be the same between 2wd and 4wd. The mainshaft/output is most likely different. The 2wd is probably a longer shaft then the 4wd unit.

So other then the case, top cover, gears and input shaft....the 2wd unit will not have all the parts necessary to rebuild the 4wd unit.

2WD has a threaded stub to retain the yoke. 4Wd ends @ splines. I also believe the 2WD spline portion is longer.
