Are there any special tools needed for rebuild of Getrag 5 speed. the parts are relatively cheap and easy to come by so I & a friend are going to attempt.I have nothing to loose as i have 0$ in the one i have laying here. I have a Hyd press. just wondering if there is anything you can't do without while performing this. thanx , crossy

 

I can't remember if there were any weird snap rings or not, so maybe some duck bill snap ring plires. . It's nice to have something so you can stand it on end while checking the preload. Like a bench with a hole in it or a big tube is what I used. You will also need a depth mic.
