I put the trans it friday before christmas. Man I love it almost as good as a new one shifts like no other and makes no sounds under the truck or in the cab. It's sure is great to have the beast back in action the same night I raced a 6.5 and 97 stroker and smoked them.

 

Good for you! It's nice to know you did something yourself and saved a boatload of $$. Plus, if something breaks, you'll know where to look!

Mine started a few new whines and rattles over the weekend so it is parked until I get it figured out.

I would say replace all the bearing and reset the preload on the main shaft. Hopefully she will be good for a long time I am fixing to buy a fast cooler. Hey andyr354 send your trans on down to Ramrod Diesel I'll fix u right up I'm working on getting the puller for the bottom bearings.
