Gasket Dressing?

Got a new oil cooler for my 91 and it came with 2 new gaskets. Im helping my dad do this over the phone and he is telling me the 2 new gaskets are "metal". Does he need to use gasket dressing or leave em dry for the install??

Thanks for any input!

I'm not sure if they are cummins or aftermarket, but I put my in clean and dry. No leaks.

i understand that gasket dressing is just for assembly purposes, nothing to do with actually sealing, IMO you cant go wrong with clean and dry on any gasket, but sometimes it sure is nice to have that gasket stay put.
