Quick story of what happened..

I was towing a big load and I pulled into a gas station to ask where the heck Diesel fuel station is since I could not find any..

So I pull in and decide heck i will use the bathroom, get a drink etc, so I turn truck off.

well when i come out I hoop in and try to start the truck.. and Nothing.. No click, nothing at all. so I mess with everything I can think of for 30 mins with no luck.. but then I realized I was pointing down hill so I take off E-brake truck starts rolling, I pop clutch and bam it starts right up.. so Now I am thinking dang it I just replaced the starter 3 months back..

well I drive rest of way to destination without turning truck off.

after I get there I decide I better fix this before heading home.. so I start messing with the truck , buddy says check your battery ground cable.. so we check it at the block take it off put it back all clean and fine..

then I decide lets take off negative on battery side.. and BAM there is the problem the bottom side of negative cable is totally rusty.. it was not getting a good ground.. so I cut it off and cleaned new section put it back together and of course it works fine..

So just another area to check if you have problems.. and of course it was the last area we checked..

oh well thought I would just pass on the info that I found the hard way..

Of cource it was the last place you checked as you fixed the problen and you didn't have to look anymore Just messin with ya.

Something very similar to this just happened to my wifes Hyundai

The negative cable end at the battery is a thin piece of steel to wrap around the terminal post, well when I tried to wiggle it to make sure it was tight (car woudn't start) it broke in two So I had a post to threaded post adapter and drilled a hole in the steel/copper end of the cable and it works like a dream now- didn't cost me a dime

Glad to hear it was a cheap and easy fix for you too,
Michael

My 3.0 Rampage ocassionally does a similar thing.
The aluminum under the main ground corrodes up & goes bad.
You loosen bolt, give lug a twist & tighten it up that fixes it for a while.
