Fuel Pump?

My goal is to eventually be in the 450-500rwhp range. My question is, can I support that amount of power with a 2nd gen piston pump or should I go straight to an electric pump set-up?

Thanks,
Matt

There is quite a few guys running a piston lift pump with some high hp #'s the big thing is not the pressure but the consistency of the pressure going to the VE. If you use the 2nd gen pump you will need a regulator and I think the prime psi is 12 or so.

Do you plan on sticking with a 12mm VE, or are you going to s 14mm H/R? With a 14mm H/R, I'd go straight to an Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump.

Its more of a long term goal but eventually I think I like to end up with a
14mm H/R, 6x16's(or bigger) and possibly twins. I was kinda leaning towards an electric set-up anyways but wanted to get some imput from the 1st Gen Guru's.

Then I'd say go ahead and go with the Aeromotive system.

Just incase you were wondering why Aeromotive.
