fuel leak at the VE pump

hello. I have a 89 that has a fuel leak at the injection pump. It appears to be leaking between the body that the fuel shutdown solenoid mounts on and the main part of the injection pump. Any ideas on what may be leaking? Pump removal required? Thanks for any help......J

Yep, I just had mine do the same thing. There is an oring on the injection head that will fail, seems to happen when the pump is turned up more often. I replaced mine but they do not reccomend it as there are a few dozen parts that can and will fall out. I managed to get mine back together but have not had it tested yet,(I had a spare pump). I would reccomend you have a pump shop do it if you are not comfortable with opening up the pump.
