Fuel Hose

OK, so I am going to replace all the lines to and from the fuel tank on my buddies '89. Can anyone point me to the proper size hose that I should be using for this?

im not certain but i think if u go to a larger size it is better for the fuel pump cuz it helps lubricate it better I may be wrong tho. I know the famous KTA upsized his lines to 1/2 but he had to up the fuel pickup tube as well. Its just a thought cuz it would be the best time to do it.

I just did my lines on my 92. Ran 3/8" Nylon. Purchased it from the local hydraulic supply store

I recently ran 1/2 fuel hose with a new pickup.
Why are you replacing the lines?
the stock lines on my truck are metal, with rubber hose on both ends.
if you are having leaks, replace the rubber parts.
unless you want more fuel flow, than go with a larger than stock diameter
I think stock lines are 5/16
but I am not positive

did you run 1/2 metal and rubber lines or just rubber? did you just run 1/2 to the filter or all the way to the injection pump?

On the 92, the lines are 5/16 nylon, NLA from the dealer.

I ran 1/2 rubber lines to a new larger fuel filter before the lift pump.
coming out of the new filter I used 3/8 line to the lift pump.
even though the lift pump uses 5/16 line the 3/8 works with a good hose clamp.
next I intent to install high flow banjo bolts!

That's a good question. I wouldn't think so, because I am also gonna run the open(AN) fittings.

i couldn't see any negitives either and it will be alot less hassle then to use banjo bolts as well as flow better. i have a ton of fitting in the shop so i have lots to play with. i plan on doing this when i install my lp. I've been busy with school lately so I haven't had the chance. During the christmas break it should be done and i'll let everyone know how it went
