fuel heater screen

fuel heater screen

hey guys,

how do u take the fuel heater apart? any info will help.

It's one piece, you don't take it apart. The spud that the filter mounts to is what holds the heater up, unscrew it with a big screwdriver (or a drag link socket if you're lucky enough to have one).

Some of the early ones did not have a fuel filter inlet screen - mine is an early 91 and it did not have the screen installed.

I recentley had to take mine off to replace the o-ring on top of the heater,I could not get the spud to come loose,so thanks to one of the guys on here I was able to shave down the piece that the heater plugs into just a bit and was then able to just unscrew the whole thing,replace the o-ring and screw it back on.No more leak!!!
