fuel filtering

fuel filtering

do our trucks have a fuel pre-filter screen? If so where is it located

I think there is a screen in the tank, but am not 100% sure.

The factory put a filter at the bottom of the fuel gauge sending unit module in the tank on the diesels. It is similar to the gas filter except for color. The in tank filter MUST be replaced with a filter intended for diesel. Chapter 14, 1993 Service Manual.
