I do not know for a fact , but my 94 , and everything since is 35 gals .
What I have done in the past is , put a 5 gal. can in back , drive till it starts to stumble [ running out of fuel ] , then put in the 5 gal. can and go fill up .
Then figure out MPG , and if gauge is off , use MPG .

I have a 30 gallon tank, but my low fuel light comes on when I have 6 gallons left. Takes me 24 gallons to fill up after the light comes on.

I replaced my fuel tank pickup because the guage sensor quit,
just for curiosity sake I decided to test how accurate the new unit was.
I recorded the amount fuel needed to re-fill the tank at each mark on the guage.
Here are my results.

3/4 mark = 92 L = 80% (23 L to fill)
1/2 mark = 65 L = 56% (50 L to fill)
1/4 mark = 40 L = 35% (75 L to fill)
Low Fuel Light on = 20L = 17% ( 95 L to fill)
Empty mark = 10 L = 9% ( 105 L to fill)

(1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.785 liter)

I was surprised to find my tank still had 10 gallons in it after the low fuel warning light came on when I dropped it to do some unrelated work on the frame behind it there two springs ago. Evidently they are all over the map as far as what is going on with the fuel measuring instruments.

Gauge quit last winter.

I was thinking 26 is what I read in my owners manual. I never let mine get far below 1/4 as a general rule of thumb. Never know when your gonna get a late night phone call and have to make a run. Dont want to have to stop and get diesel in a hurry. Especially since the closest station to me with diesel is about 5 miles away.

Dad still had the "sticker" from purchase in with the receipts. Says 30 gal on for the 93.

I think 26 gallons was for the gassers.

i have the window sticker from mine. it shows the 30 gallon tank under the options list. i'll double check but i think the stock tank was 22 or 26 like some of you have mentioned.

All diesels had the 30 gallon as standard. The other lesser tanks were gasser stuff. I have heard of people putting in a 22 gallon tank as a replacement of a bad 30 tank.
