front leaf install ?

The stock front bolts are 5/8. And the new sleeves that came with the bushings are 1/2.
If I put 1/2 bolts thru there it will be sloppy in the hanger hole.
What should I do? 2" Skyjacker leafs with skyjacker bushing kit from Jack-It
Thank you

Prior to 92/93 (72-1991) the bushing mounting holes were 1/2". You can press out and replace the front spring front bushings to accept the 5/8" bolt. Or use bushings around the 1/2" bolts to fit the 5/8" hole.

Can't you just press out your 1/2" bushing and take them to a machine shop or a friend with a lathe and have them open up the holes?

I ran into almost the same situation when I had my front spring reworked. The previous owner had the smaller bolts in the bigger holes in the spring mount. I took the springs, which were less than a year old, to the local spring shop where I had a new main leaf made for each spring with the correct size bushings.
