Front Brake Meltdown (again)
I finally bought a new caliper for the right because the existing one keeps sticking and chewing up pads (and now rotors). I think this time I wil gently smooth the mating surfaces in case the problem is really in the casting and not the caliper. The brakes on the beast have always been junk, but maybe I can finally at least get the fronts working properly. I have the brackets for the rear disc conversion, but misplaced the parts list. What is really worrying me is what kind/size/pressure check valve I need to retain pressure on the rear calipers to keep the spongy feel out of them.
Anyone have a line on that?
p.s. I was thinking of hooking a ball valve to my park brake to keep that function...
