Wink Free Dramatic Boost Increase

When I swapped engines, I un-hooked the boost gauge line and tucked it out of the way; then, once the Cummins was in, I screwed it back in.

I never was impressed with the boost numbers with the International, compared to what others were getting with less wicked set-ups.

With the Cummins, I had been seeing a maximum of around 15 PSI.

I accidentally got against the plastic gauge line, where it goes into the fitting in the intake horn, and broke it off.

I unscrewed the fitting and managed to rescue the little ferrule, cut the line off clean, and reassembled.

Now, without spending a cent, I can bury the needle on the boost gauge (it goes to twenty).

I wonder how many others out there, including oil-pressure and others, could benefit from the same treatment.

That is why I like the copper lines better.

That's why I install those tiny nylon lines inside a larger, protective sheath with plenty of support at the stress point:

But, like Boatnick said, hard lines are best if you got the time and money.
