Found my Boost Leak, but need help locating part....

I found my boost leak - the aluminum elbow that turns out of the compressor that runs into the 1st intercooler boot has busted. The outside lip that holds the seal in place has busted off. I kind of wonder if that was not my problem all along even with my old h1c. I know for sure it had other issues, but I had a gradual loss of power.

Anyhow, does anyone know a source for this elbow or have one laying around they might part with?

The second geners are about a 65*, not a 90*. But they are 3".

well, I have called PDR & HTT to no luck, none in any local junk yards which is not suprising, and my local Mack House that is a Cummins dealer cannot find one based upon the PN that was on it.

Can anyone verify this PN: 3918800-3-kpk

My Mack guy said he found an "Air Transition Pipe" using just the 3918800 but it was $438 bucks. I cannot image that being it or the correct price.

Any ideas? I thought about calling the Dodge dealership here but they are totally worthless when it comes to our old trucks even with a PN.

I just bought a 2nd gen for my S300. It is 3 inch cooler pipe outlet but it is not a true 90 degree as C/PRD said. My part number is 3923178 listed as pipe, air transfer

try http://www.atlastruckparts.com/

they are here in oregon and they had some before, they just gave me one, but that might have been because i bought an intercooler.

if they won't ship let me know i might be able to pick it up and ship it if needed.

or if you have all the peices just find a welder in you area and get it welded.

Well, I called the local dodge places here, and all of them said I had to buy a new turbo to get that elbow - what a crock.

Alwaysworking - I called the folks you recommended and they are suppose to call me back.

Anyone else have any other ideas? I put a WTB ad in the classifieds.

I checked Cummins quickserve and, dog-gone-it, they don't show the part. Thought for sure they would. Well, at least I couldn't find it.

I'd be almost positive that you could get it through Dodge without the turbo. That'd just be stupid. Then again...

My secretary's husband is the service manager for Cummins Rocky Mountain. They're on vacation for another week. If you still haven't found anything by then, I can check with him. He's always been able to find parts for me quick.

Richie & Tucker - Thanks for your help.

Alwaysworking - Thanks for the link, I talked to them and they don't have one....

I decided to make a few more calls and sure enough the part is disco'd with Dogde and the only way to get it is with a new turbo. I just cannot beleive that.

Still searching....

I just had the same problem, I found that the outer lip was broken on mine as well. I also had the same problem with getting the elbow. I bought a 2nd gen elbow from cummins for $48.00 and a 3" to 2.5" silicone reducer from Verocious.com for about $25.00 and had a piece of 2.5" pipe bent to what I needed at a local muffler shop for $20.00. I used a piece of 2.5" flex pipe to make a model for the muffler shop to copy.
