Flywheel Removal??
Flywheel Removal??
How hard is it to get out on a W350 Cab N Chassi and how long can should it take? Trying to determine if I have time to fool with it this weekend. Thanks Guys
If you have a helper it will go alot faster but shouldn't take more then 3 hour's each way taking it apart with be hardest but then going back together should be faster because you will know where everything goes .
I would say simplsmn is about right. It took me about that much time in my shop on the floor using a tranny jack. I found it was easiest to take the transfer case off first. When I put it back in it took a little longer because my cab mounts are shot and there is a body seam in the way.
Put this in the stickies.
Thank you Pulltilbroke
That pic is worth 1000 word times a billion.
That jack would also come in VERY useful on the R&R of the flywheel.
First time I removed the FW I thought it weighed more than truck.
There is a reminder (chunk missing) in the garage floor when that sucker hit.

I am sure that an atv jack is the same, but I use a motorcycle jack, works like a charm. Ironically, the motorcycle jack doesn't work on my Kawasaki and I have to use a floor jack, go figure
