flushing the a/c out/ what to use?
I was wondering what is good for flushing out the a/c system . I've been told u can many things what would be the best product to use in flushing out the a/c . Been told rubbing alcohol mineral spirits actone mek lacuqre thinner . would 91% rubbing alcohol work cause i have afew bottles of that stuff.

I would take it to a shop, shouldn't cost you more than $50. They can pressurize the entire a/c system. I think they run mineral spirits through the lines about thirty times and then re-charge it.

Go to your local Auto Zone, they have several diffrent kinds of flush, I have bought both the solvent that goes in my flush gun and one that comes in an aresol can, has a hose and cone stopper you hold into the open line and wash it out.
This is the one I used last and even after evacuating for over 4 hours at 2 microns I can still smell the citrus aroma.
Make sure you remove your expansion valve when you flush your condenser.
I used 2 cans.
You can buy flushing kits from Johnstone Supply but they are easy to make.
