Fixed Block heater Cord
Fixed Block heater Cord
Just inquiring to see if anyone has installed one of these or something like it?:

Tired of seeing and hearing that cord flapping around in the wind; would like to install something more rigid and out of the way. Also bumped around the idea of having a hiden retractable cord tucked under the bumper some way; like a pull start spring loaded system......hmmm.
Any ideas or pics?

Somewhere on another site is a pictorial write-up of a really neat trick.
The guy went to an R-V/camper supply store and bought a flush-mount male plug very similar to the GENO's one pictured in the above link.
He went to the junk-yard and got one of those hinged license-plate frames from one of those cars where you flip down the license-plate to put in the gas.
He flush-mounted the receptacle and concealed it with the license-plate.
He added a flip-down leg to the plate-bracket that holds the plate out of the way when the cord is plugged in.
It looked really neat.
