Well guys today I helped a buddy of my uncles replace his Very Poor 44 on his 02 *which happens to by my dads old truck* and I gotta say while labor was not that bad and the actual wrenching on the truck was pretty straight forward, I wouldnt trade my beat up old first gen for the nicest show quality 24v vp44 truck ever. I love these trucks.

My uncle is looking at buying a 1970 2wd standard cab long bed camper special dodge and I have already convinced him to put a ve cummins in it so hopefully soon Ill get to post in the conversion thread!!!

I know what you mean. All the problems I've seen with the later generations make me scratch my head. From an engineering standpoint, each revision should have less bugs, simpler design, and more reliability, not the other way around.
