Anyone know where I can gety the can that fits inside the feul tank, without forking over $405 vto the dealer ? Thought I ran out of feul the other day, then I thought my transfer pump failed but when I pulled what was left of the pick up and sending unit I saw that the gremlens had eated half of it away over thew past 23 years.

Rock auto did have it at one time. It's a fuel pump module or tank module. Something like that

 

rock auto no longer has it, they have the lift pump for $57 should have called them dealer wanted $390 and 7-10 days, cummins sent it next day for $105

Ill call the other guyus at noon, they need the vin number

I saved about $120 good, but Im still waiting for it, Bad. They are too slow. Just shipped it today Said it had to come from another wharehouse. Told me when I ordered that Id have it yesterday.

 

Ouch Should of looked at this post earlier I have a bunch of them .

 

well I guess it's better to have a New 1 then to get upset because a used part quit ? so I see his Point for going that direction .

And the Ouch was for the cost of the sending unit .

 

Its the whole canister not just the sending unit. Mine has half disinagrated. Thesae guys are killing me. Must be shipping it by camel.
