Do any of you guys know where to get a fan shroud for a 92. I broke mine (leaning over tinkering with the truck).

 

Word is, those things are made of unobtainium these days.

 

If you don't have any unobtainium, go to the local metal scrap yard and get some aluminum speed limit signs and such.

Make some rough templates out of cardboard and transfer to the aluminum.

Cut, fold, rivet, and you're done.

 

Some time back, one of our members did an experiment on running with and without a fan shroud. His conclusion was the truck ran cooler without it. Even though I don't necessarily agree or disagree with his findings it does make me wonder if the shroud helps.
