I don't run a fan on my Superduty but the rad is a lot bigger than a first gen.

I put some miles on it tonight 20 miles towing my empty trailer and 20 miles with my friends volvo on it. The fan never ran at all.

Coolant system on my mud truck holds close to 6 gallons. My only problem is the black radiator in the bed soaks up the sun heat. Been thinking about painting it a lighter color.
