wasn't tryin to bag on the shortbeds but when i first got my crewcab and looked into converting it to 4x4 .To me a shortbed is useless and when I did research into crewcabs and fond out dodge never made a longbed crewcab I decided that I would just to be different .Infact I used a shortbed crew for the frontend parts i needed .and as much hauling as i do I couldnt afford to have stuff hanging out the back on a shortbed .

 

I knew you weren't ragging on them. I'd take a long bed if I could, but my driveway is maxed out right now. Haveing a crew short bed is better than not having a crew at all, no?

 

On one of the FSJ (full size jeep ) site a guy had a retired (read: used and abused)4dr long bed 2wd forest truck. The reason I remember it was he stated it turned tighter than his buddy's ext cab 4x4.
