how hot should the exhaust temperature be in pretty much stock 92 dodge diesel all it has on it is 25hp injectors.the pump is stock

 

As long as you stay below 1250 degrees you are fine.

 

if it gets higher then that what should i look for.

Leaky intercooler/boots/tubes

 

Montana 2x2 is right. Also check your air filter or maybe upgrade to a BHAF. The more free air you can run through the engine the cooler it will be. Another good mod is four inch exhaust. A internal combustion engine is a big air pump. Free flowing exhaust and unrestrictive intake helps alot to keep the egt's down. But I still like bigger turbos
