I've looked everywhere and can't find the law regarding modifying your exhaust in the state of maine. I am thinking about a 5" stack, but don't want a hassle from the locals everytime I move. Also...any idea about lift laws for Maine? Truck is 1989 W250....man...it seems like some states let you have fun and others are just buzzkills...

 

I looked them over as well. I could find nothing. I asked a friend on the local (Bath) police dept. and they were O.K. with it as long as I had a sticker. The local truck repair place said it was fine as long as it
1. exits beyond the cab.
2. has an muffler if it came with one.
3. Is not "excessively" loud.

I had mine "see my gallery" inspected at my regular garage. He did some "research" and said it was fine. He complained about the noise untill I pointed out that the enigine was louder than the exaust. I have had them on for about 2 months now and I have not been stopped yet!

I have had a few complaints from some people.....I think.......I couldn't really hear what they were saying......
