exhaust:4" verus 5"

Hi,I know this question has been answered before...what exhaust would be the best with a stock turbo.4" or 5".I had read that with my year and small mods to the engine that 4" is the way to go,but I have a yard full of 5" tubing and elbows.

4" is all you need. 5" wouldn't help at all. 4" is actually over kill for most of us but we lust for it any ways!

So, 5" wont help any thing.....but it won't have any detrimental effects though if you were to use 5"?

Not really any documented detimental effects I believe I once read someone lost a bit of torque jumping up to a 5" but I beleive it was marginal.

Running 5 inch would be a bear to hook to the turbo.

On my truck I'm gona run 4" off the turbo. It has to go 90* down and 90* again. Once it runs straight I'm going to open it up to 5" straight thru muffler and out the back. Why not it looks cool. Prob about a mile worth of exhaust
