engine rebuild kit

How's go the best prices on the rebuild kits. I'd like to stick with cummins parts. Does anyone know of an online place that has good deals on gaskets?

I'm going to be resealing the engine before it goes in the crew. I'm planning on doing the front and rear main, oil pain, front case, head, valves, and vac. pump. Anything else anyone can think of???

i would use only cummins parts. I saw someone recently say a top motor gasket set was around $200 from cummins.

$213 through cummins. $231 after taxes here in california.

here are the parts lists they faxed me

make sure you have 12 valve stem seals. they're the blue-tipped cups near the lower right of the pic. my kit was short 2 and i had to drive back to get them.

jimbo, that's just the upper gasket set right?

I'd like to find a whole gasket set. The enging only has a little over 200K, but Leaks oil. I figured since I'm pulling it anyways I'd just reseal it.

Isn't there an in frame overhaul kit???

yes that is just the upper engine gasket kit. i was just responding to machomopars post about someone recently buying the upper kit. that was me!

i know they have a rebuild kit. i've ordered some when i was in school for the motors i rebuilt. cummins has anything you need. you should even be able to get pistons, rings, rods and bearings from them as well. any part you'd need to rebuild your motor should be included in a rebuild kit. give your local cummins or cummins dealer a call and ask them to fax you a parts list. they were more than happy to fax me one for the kit i bought.
