engine heater part # ?

My block heater is bad on my truck. ('89 Cummins from W250) I went to the local NAPA (the only game in town) and the zit faced kid tried to sell me one that screws into what looked like a 1" pipe thread hole. Mine goes into a freeze plug hole, has a screw that goes through it and I assume a wing on the back side to hold it in place. After looking through all the heaters they had in stock, I found one that "looks" right, except it is held in place with two rings that look kind of like an external tooth washer. They wanted about $150 for it so I left it there as I don't want to spend that much money to try it and find out it won't work.

Can some one give me a part # of one that will work? I have seen these things on ebay for less than $50, but I can't seem to find one right now when I need it.
