Ok thanks alot I might try a regulator cause the one I have looks kinda crusty. I just thought about it my buddy has 50 or 60 old mopars laying in his yard he has plenty of regulators. Time to go shopping lol.

Sounds just like the problem I had a few months back. Lights pulsing, engine idle seemed to be in time with the pulsing. New voltage regulator needed and all was fine.

 

Yea that sounds exactly like my trouble.

 

Not saying that this is your problem, but in some of my previous trucks I used to take a piece of rubber and used it as a flap that covered the top of the voltage regulator. The placement of the regulator from the factory was poor IMO, but I just sealed the rain and moisture by using dielectric grease on the Voltage regulator connector and used that rubber flap to try and keep any rain off of it. Seemed to help it from corroding.

 

Well I think it is fixed. I got a new regulator from autozone and just put it in and no more pulsating. I hope I get lucky and this fixes it a 16 dollar regulator is better than a 140 dollar alternator.

 

I had some one steal a 24 volt alt out of my truck, I wanted to see them hook it up.

 

Thats what they get for stealing serves them right!!!!!!!!
