Now, this is nothing bad towards you, but they really do need to be located up out of the way so they DON'T get wet or kicked around.

It's nice to hear you got it sorted out.

Mark.
Thanks Mark,

I still have hair, although it's full of grease and dirt from having my head on the floor of the truck.

I hope you don't think that I left the box hanging down like that It was only down like that during inspection and repair.... then it was re-attached to the cover and replaced back into it's respective original location in the dash below the steering column.

My feet are way too big to let that sucker hang around down there..... and you know what they say about big feet

Just for grins and giggles.

Do your brake and abs lights come on when you're sitting at idle?
If you then put it in neutral and rev it, do they go out?

BTDT.........low vacuum trips a switch that lights those 2 lights. Usually the problem will be a vacuum leak, usually in the brake booster.

Wiring needed attention anyhow.

These trucks have 500,000 mile motors and 80,000 mile wiring. A bunch of fuses and relays under the hood, and decent fine stranded wire in the door hinges, and the wiring will match the motor.

Don't know if you're addressing me... most likely not.... but I don't have any idiot lights that come on arbitrarily, as I keep my box clean...

I wish that some of the women I knew 25 years ago, felt the same way...
