Well it finally got me. As I left the hay field today, I hit a bump and the radeo went off and anti-lock and brake lights came on. By the time I got home when I turned on the signal lights my temp gauge would peg out. Now being a firm believer in that most elec. problems are caused by grounding issues I took on the task of looking. After finding teo loose grounds and repairing them I happily jumped in to run to wally world.

Every thing was back to normal, except one small annoying detail. The anti-lock and brake lights remain on all the time if the keys on, any ideas or thoughts as to why ?

My truck was doing the same thing (hit bump radio on and off and anti lock light as well as gauges bouncing around) . I do not believe that there are enough grounds on these trucks.

I ran a ground directly from my battery to my voltage regulator.

Fixed it.

disconnect your battery for at least 5 seconds... then hook it back up. That will reset the anti-lock/brake lights on your dash. If that don't work, you got a problem....

I agree, lack of/poor grounds contribute to many issues that crop up. I've added several straps from the body to motor to battery. Better safe than sorry. All the straps in the world won't help a 15+ year old corroded connection though.

Could you also have a loose connection though too?

My CD player cuts off when the turn signals blink, I'm still figuring on that one ?????
