Drivers' side door hinges

Good morning gang:

My drivers' side door is sagging a bit and it is difficult to close the door tight. Anyone got a set of hinges? Are there any fixes besides R&R-ing the hinges?

Thanks.

Replace the pins and bushings in the hinges. Available on the HELP rack at parts stores

The bottom hinge is the culprit. You can find it in the sticky.

I bought a new hinge from my Dodge Supplier, and swapped it out. I also bought a pin / bushing kit from Rock Auto, and rebuilt the old one. The old one now centers correctly (no slop) but the spring that controls opening & closing is still a little worn., which is no big deal.

If I had to do it over again, I'd just replace the pins and put it back together. If you are really good, you can just change them without removing the assembly. I removed mine as to assess, and clean the hinge. I just marked around the hinge with a marker, locating the hinges on the frame & door, so when I put it back together, it went quickly realigning it.

Pin kit is available just about anywhere. Dorman :703 272

Can't win them all

Can't lose them all

Eventually you die, so none of it really matters

I would like to win a few from time to time.... keeping my hopes up !

I snagged a pair of fairly good hinges from the local U Pull Pay.
Got hinge pin kit from Autozone. Rebuilt the hinges on the bench and then installed on truck
Cheers
