Door Panel Painting
Door Panel Painting
Hi there,
I’m planning on painting my plastic door panels (duplicolor vinyl and fabric spray paint), and they’re currently very oxidized, Every touch causes scratches and marks, the surface is basically a fine powder at this point. I’m planning to pressure wash the surface as best I can and hope that some surface texture remains. If, after pressure washing, the texture is still dry and easily scratched into, can I still move on to painting? Or will it not adhere properly? Is there a primer I can use to help save some of the texture rather than pressure washing/sanding until I get down to stronger plastic?
hoping someone’s encountered this before already 🤞
