Theoretically, yes, but the reality is that these cams are hard hard hard. That lobe would wear through several lifetimes of LP actuators before it even showed so much as a wear mark.


Ya, after more thought, there's a $65 lift pump at advanced auto that comes with a lifetime warranty. Seems more feasible than relying on my current in tank pump that could burn out and be more money to replace.
It's hard to beat the reliability and simplicity of the factory LP. I think it would be $ well spent.

Studly i think you might be a bit confuesed. You referred to a pump in the tank, our truck have one pump, the manual pump on the engine. We dont have one in the tank, unless ones been added. Unless your wanting a lot of HP just grab a new stock pump and enjoy.

Loch, this is on a Durango conversion, IIRC. He could try regulating the in-tank pump as as long as it holds up to the #2 that would probably be fine. Regulate it to 15psi if you go that route. But I agree with Greg, the stocker is probably the best bet, long term.
