Diamond Eye Installs 2 outta 3 done

One Went on Well, one we had some Bend issues

We noticed Spring sag and motor mount sag Will make A Differences on Stock 4x4 , My truck is a standard which gives me more space to adjust and I have a 4 inch lift so i shouldn't see any clearance issues on the bottom

The autos seem to have a bit less wiggle room due to the Trans cooler
On the one truck he has even welded the Heat shield back on with room to spare

One more thing I phoned Diamond Eye and asked About a 4 inch option So we could use other turbos ... The guy to Talk to is mike and he will be Back on Friday I will be trying to get in touch with him to ask about it.

I installed the 4 inch with muffler in mine recently. It was kinda tight around the t case also but no interference. I used spacers around the pipe till I tightened it down and it stayed put. I also used band clamps on the joints. I had to fab up a piece for the stock bolt thru rubber mount at the bell housing and the rear most hanger but thats it. I would use this kit again.

Don't get me wrong. I am thinking of buying 5 more of these Kits I Would have to pay a fortune For the material plus messing around fabing it up

The owner of the harder install is Still grinning. he is bolting up tonight So we will see if he has any problems
The Other guy Loves his lol He did it by him self so the hardest part was getting the down pipe lined up

can you get a pic of the inside of the muffler tube? is it a standard glass pack?

Its a straight through. I have the muff on my 93 with the stacks. I can't believe how quiet it is with there being no restriction in it.

It's a straight through design muffler i guess you could say it looks like a glasspack but it's actually big in diameter

glass packs get a bad rep because of the rice rockets that love to throw them on their small 4 banger, which make them sound horrible.

does anybody know the dampening material used?

Most mufflers, I believe, are packed/wrapped internally with steel wool and fiberglass.

Might be a little off topic, but is there a muffler to quiet down just the drone a bit? i have a stack and love the turbo sound but the drone kinda gets old after a while.
