Or at least it will be on Monday. I am so excited. Also, trying to get some info on an HX35 in the classifieds. Ill do more research here before I start asking any install questions. In the mean time, changed the oil on my truck and decided to bump the fuel screw in a turn. All I have to say is I have to finish building my tranny fast!! I love these trucks and I love this place you guys are awesome!! Free upgrades in about 2 minutes.

You'll love the DennyT cone. I'd suggest you look at a bigger turbo than an HX35, as it is hardly bigger than your intercooled H1C, and unless it is very close to free, I don't think it is worth it.

Yeah the 12 makes a big diff. It keeps up a lot better than an 18.5 let alone a 21.

iv heard with an auto and a 12cm housing you give up quite a bit top end
and 12s can get a bit hot when towing with an auto that is if your gonna be towing??

The 12cm wastegated on the hx35: If its opened up on both sides to 3/4-1" you will NOT lose any top end. I ran my 18.5 vs the 12 wastegated and the top end is slightly better with the wastegated 12. Boost was at 50+ and im sure drive pressure was through the roof with the 18, boost is wastegated at 42 with the 12, im sure drive pressure is much more reasonable with the gate open. The 18 did run with less smoke tho, but thats just the way my afc is tuned... JMO

Hey thanks for the advice... I know I have to get rid of that lagmaster and I have been reading through your guys stuff on turbos and am not sure exactly what to do... but the hx35 with a 12cm has got to be loads better than that 21 cm housing... and this is just a driver truck to and from work and basic transportation. I do not tow with it. Its just a fun truck till I can buy a club cab 4x stick truck.

Well I am now talking to a guy that wants to sell his 16cm housing.... the price is perfect so I think I may go that route for now.

You could do that, but having no W/g may mess you up in the future if/when you add bigger injectors and more fuel.

but for now that'd work nice and then later when you really upgrade you could sell the 16cm

Yeah I thought about that but my plan for the truck later includes twins and injectors. So for now with stock sticks the 16cm should be fine. Plus this is not the last truck I plan to get. I could build a good hybrid out of the turbo later for another truck or replace another one of the lagmasters that I'm sure Ill get stuck with.

Thanks guys for all of your advice I like you better than my 3 dimensional friends

I'd go with the H1C/16 over an HX35/12. With a 12cm housing, at 30psi boost, there was 70psi back pressure. Not good if you ask me.
