Dana 80 swap question?

Almost finished my dana 80 swap, shortened drive shaft, used the dana 80 blocks and spring plates and also removed 2 leaves from the spring pack. The dana 80 brake hose is kind of short so I'm going to have a braided hose made the same length as the stock hose.

Now for my question, what have those who have done the swap done with your parking brake cables? Its kind of a pain as the left side is ~6in shorter then the right side, so you end up with a bunch of extra cable on the right side.

Thanks, Aaron

I did my swap with a disc brake dana 80, I had to lengthen my vehicle cable a few inches, but the right and lift were pretty equal.

yep i've got the drum brake version and i'm not really sure what year its from, so maybe different years have different lengths cable. My problem is that my vehicle cable is too long, any idea on how I could shorten it? If there is a way to shorten the cable that would be ideal, otherwise I have a couple other ideas on how to get them hooked up.

Thanks, aaron

That's those things by your left foot that everyone stomps to the floor when they stop their vehicle. Then they complain in a year or two that their brakes feel funny......EGGSHAPED DRUMS
Wonder why

We actually have changes in elevation out here, so they're nice to have to keep the truck from crashing itself into trees
