cutting air box??? HELP

Question cutting air box??? HELP

i'm poor, and my truck is needing AIR, so i heard about soem people cutting the air box wide open, or something like that, can anyone fill me in, and give me some tips. much appericated!

You can use a holesaw or a jigsaw. What you want to do is simply make holes in that black plastic housing to allow more air to enter. It's somewhat restricted with its small opening behind the grill.

From: Katy, TX off north Mason Road.
Take the box out, pull the stock tiny tube off the box and trash it. Then cut the box from the rectangle opening upward 6-7". Thats enough to give you a huge opening, but still leave the top of the filter covered from the rain dripping in.

Or simply remove the OEM intake muffler and replace it with big funnel that looks through a substantially larger hole in the front bulkhead.



This way, you get 100% cold outside air and lots of it.

This is what I did and helped a ton with a 40 dollar AFE. Hope it works out
