cummins rated engine stands
What kind of stands do you use? Do you mount it on the back or the side engines. The inline 6s I've built (bmw, chevy, jeep) have always beenmounted to the side. Worried about all that weight.

I used my cheapy 1000 or 1200 lbs. (can't recall) stand and it worked fine. When I tore it down I had the short block on there, mounted from the back end. It was bouncy, but held. For assembly I turned it sideways so it was more rigid. I drilled holes in the plate to bolt right to the block, without the square tube things. . You can make a plate that bolts to the side of the block and has the pipe off set so it is balanced. That would make it easier to rotate. Also, make the plate so it will fit on the exhaust side so you can turn it 360*.
