Cummins B3.9 & B5.9 Op & Maint Mnl Recommended?

Altho I don't have a 1stgen yet, I've been accumulating reference manuals (so far I have the '92 FSM & '93 Cummins Dsl Truck Powertrain Diagnostic Procedure Mnl) & was just wondering whether the above title would be worth adding to my (growing) collection? Here's one for sale on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...;category=6032.

If you've got the FSM, you don't really need the Cummins manual. It doesn't cover anything that's not in the FSM, and the FSM covers a lot of stuff that's not in the Cummins book. If the price is right and you're the kind of guy who likes manuals, go for it. I've got one, I'm a sucker for manuals. Anybody need a manual for a '73 Mercury Capri or maybe a Renault LeCar? :

Factory Manual=good stuff O&M manual- not so much

The O & M manual is what is shipped with each engine to a builder. It covers just what it says- operation & maintenance. As was already said, you have that & more in the factory service manual. I only ever used the O & M manual if advising a consumer on maintenance issues. Since they are supposed to have this book, it was a good reference.

Wow! You guys are fast!

Thnx for both responses.

I'm also a sucker for manuals but it looks like I'll pass on this one.

Thnx.

Completely off-thread ... HammerMTB, do you know that your forum name has particular significance in mountain biking?
