I made the adjuster on the lathe. The TRE is left hand thread and the 'adjuster' is right hand threaded on the OD. Both parts of the adjuster are slotted. A pinch bolt holds everything in place once you set the position.

It works really slick for centering the wheel. All it takes to adjust is a 7/16" wrench and a 1" wrench. Or a crescent wrench......

Sweet. That's a pretty slick adjuster. What threads did you use for the O.D. of the adjuster/I.D. of the link? What size tube for the link? That would work perfect for what I want to do on the puller.

Thanks

The TRE is a standard GM thread. 7/8-16 LH

The larger thread was 1-12 I think. I had a tap in the shop and ended up cutting the male threads on the lathe.

The 'tubing' for the adjuster started out as solid 1.5 from the scrap bin.
The drag link is 1.25" solid bar

This was the print I made for the measurements of the arm. Sorry its not totally complete as far as hole tapers, etc. The arm did drop right on the knuckle just perfect though.

I also used a 'springless' adjuster instead of the spring. It ended up working really well. This is basically a large thick washer that fits on top of the plastic kingpin cup. The stud in the knuckle pushes down on the washer allowing you to pre-load the knuckle tension. The stud has a double nut on the top to lock the position of the stud. You can see it in this pic...

If you have a lifted truck and don't have crossover yet. You're missing out. It's amazing.
