BC, thats my step brothers lifted 94 ford half ton. 4 inch lift with 37X14.50's. we call it the monster truck. sad part is, my cummins only sits 2 inches shorter with 285/75's on stock springs and blocks haha. Crossy Son, its far from straight on the box and theres surface rust where the paints missin on the the box. Preston, soon as the weather warms up over here im goin flat black primer till summer, then maybe the same blue thats on the tail gate and driver's door. She doesnt look pretty but she runs like no other.

I copied this from what i just posted on the other forum but i still mean the ending the same haha
I bought my 1st cummins for $2300 when i was 16 (18 now). it was a 1990 D250 with a getrag and 4:10's (the blue pieces of the truck now) I loved it to death. I also had a 1992 W150 with a NV4500 at the time which i sold a few weeks ago because i needed money for college . but anyways, i turned up the pump, made an intake and stacks. after a while.....i wanted a 4wd with high gears. I tried making the D250 a 4wd in autoshop. It worked quite well for the 1st few months after it was finished but it had some bugs that i couldnt work out in it. so i saw on craigslist a 92 W250 with no engine for $1000. getrag 5spd and 3:55 gears. bought it, brought it home, started a tear down on both trucks. built what you see now with alot of new drivetrain parts and after replacing the box twice. the 92's was hammered, the 90's box got crushed when a kid hit me at our senior bon fire last year, so i picked up that gray and silver box from a 91.5 for a $100. soon as the weather gets warmer she's gettin a few coats of black primer. Thanks for the comments guys. When i 1st started this project i was working at a second hand store (Goodwill) for $7/hour and still managed to buy parts for this truck, put gas in my old 92 W150, pay for my cell phone, insurance, and lunch during school. I did everything to this truck from what i learned myself and from you fine people on this forum, from tips and tricks to complete write ups on stuff. I say to all of you THANK YOU! and I wouldnt trade this piece for the world lol

That is great to hear about the projects. So many kids here in Kalifornia are under the impression that everything is entitled to them without any work whatsoever. I think the diesel trucks are one of the last bastions of the automotive sector where you can build and rebuild for cheap thrills. They are an excellent learning platform. When I was 16 in 1996, I wouldn't even dream about having a 1st gen diesel because they were still so new. I remember seeing all the 1st gen diesels at the car lots new and was excited about the new V10 coming out in the 2nd gens (go figure)... Either way, props dude and nice work.
