Couple questions about timing and grid heaters

I'm wanting to try adding more timing to my current setup. I'm considering the M&H timing spacer and installing it with my timing already bumped 1/8". My last dyno run showed an improvement of 22hp and 21ftlbs torque with the ksb on.

Question 1: Is it safe to run that much timing in a tow rig?

Question 2: Are there any negative affects of running that much timing long term?

Question 3: My grid heaters have been disconnected for a couple years now and I've had no cold start issues. I am looking to build a custom intake horn and delete the grids. Will to much timing get me into cold start problems?

Mmmm dyno fever setting in? I'm thinking advanced timing will heat you up towing but I'm not sure! I guess you could jump a tooth and pull your pump to the fender side for towing then for hotrodding go toward the block with the pump. I've read alot of BC??? About his timing setup on his daily/drag truck setup-he might have some been there done that knowledge! 93-12 Smoke are we hunting for 400??

I run a butt load of timing and never have a cold start problem. BUT I don't live in a cold climate, this past year I had a week of sub freezing and started every morning. My grids have been gone for years now. Note it smoked and loped a bit for 20ish seconds.

I say jump a tooth. I've been up to two teeth.

I never use my truck as a truck. I had to tow my forklift across town one time. I hooked the 40' goose neck to go brake in the clutch. That's aboutit tthough.

I think I got 400 in the bag. Just want to see what i can make it do and stay a reliable tow rig. My pulls are usually several hours long at around 22,000lbs.

93 12-Smoke you already found 40 more ponies? Top secret stuff? I would think any restriction to flow on the grid heaters will hurt even though it's very minor. I have my heaters unhooked and the other day/night when it was in the 30's and it rolled maybe twice and busted off. Several days of cold I don't know how it would act. 400 in the bag? You have been a busy young man this week! Keep up the good work!!

I'm not saying I can do 400 today but i definitely think i have several areas to make some improvements including these I've listed. I see it as an obtainable goal.

Anyone tried the M&H intercooler tubes yet? They have a 3" single and a 3" double horn intake.
