I'm pretty impressed by this rear bench setup! I would be interested in copying the design that you have. Are the cushions custom made or out of some specific vehicle?

It appears the cushions are hand fabbed and covered in a front bench seat cover that was cut to fit. This looks like a pretty easy system to fab up, and I like the storage area. The covering idea is just speculation on my part.

YES,I will be sure to check it out tonight and try to get measurements.
The seat belts look to be the easiest part of this changeover.Being the factory front bench is gone,I used the centre belt for the centre of the rear seat. The jumpseat retractable belts were left at the back corners of the cab and just the buckles moved. The p/o had the belts all messed up.
If you guys want to p/m me a fax # I could shoot you off some hand drawn pictures with sizes (that the easiest for me).
I'll try and get other pics too......keep checkin' back, like I said,I'm on dial up.

Ragg
Just wondering if you ever got those measurements...I tried to pm you but it wouldnt allow me to...I have a fax # if that is easiest...Thanks!

Didn't Dodge have a "full" rear seat configuration available back in the 70s when they first came out with the extended cabs? Something way back in my bad memory is saying my brother-in-law had one in his Dodge. Maybe not but a flashback hit and he had something real similar to raggmann back seat.

I remember Ford having a bench option and I know one of my uncles put that seat into his Dodge but I don't remember a Dodge option.

joker834,I couldn't re-measure 'cause it was around -30 with the wind and I don't have a shop. It's warming up today so I'll fax it tomorrow am.

Man that was a long time ago. But my brother-in-law had a bench seat back. How he got it I don't know, or where it came from. But it looked factory and was fairly comfy for a short trip "being 6'1'' tall" the shotgun rider had to push the seat up. The seat in the pic above is nice and the storage is really a plus.

Rollincoalsmoke, are you maybe thinking of the crewcab(4 door) trucks? They would've had a full rear bench.
