Chevy W/C feel
Chevy W/C feel
I just installed 3" wide rear shoes and the big chevy wheel cylinders at the same time-with new rear drums. My question is, before and after how does it feel in your truck-pedal feel wise.
It seems like I have to push down farther than before, I know my adjustment is dead on, just wondered it this is normal feel-or i still have some air in(it didnt look like it though)

ill give her a few more cranks. My brakes are good(not amazing thought), and my e-brake works great, adjustment is tight. Ill try and bleed some more. It doesnt goto the floor, dont get me wrong, but it does drop lower than normal
I did the Chevy brake mod and found the pedal low as well. Was rather disappointed. Works great but I much perfer a firm/high pedal. I kinda wish I did just the 3" shoes and left the wheel cylinders alone.
If you think about it though it makes sense. You now have bigger cylinders to fill so you have to stroke the MC farther to fill it.
